3D visualization pipeline. This flow diagram is a framework for describing the steps involved in creating and using rendered visual simulations of lighting environments. A scene is created by describing its geometric, material, and lighting system characteristics; a rendering engine models light transport in the scene and a virtual camera and TMO result in an image; the image is reproduced on a display or print; then it is viewed in a specific viewing condition for a specific purpose
